What Does the Job Look Like?

You will be working weekends, when our resorts do most of their business. During the week you’ll be making calls, working through a database of prospects (no cold calling), and generating your own leads, conducting sales tours, and talking to our existing owner for referrals. It’s 5-6 days a week in the busy season and although our resort properties have seasonal opening dates, we sell on every day of the year.

Resort Landscape Foreman

Our Vine Ridge Resort is looking for a Landscape Foreman to join our Great Blue Resorts team in Queenston, Ontario. This is a fulltime seasonal position from April 2nd to October 31st with approximately 30 – 40 hours per week.

The Landscape Foreman will oversee the team members and ensure we have a safe, clean well-maintained resort.

Experience with landscaping equipment an asset, ability to operate a Kubota & all related equipment is required. Knowledge and experience in regards to maintenance of equipment and small repairs an asset. Must have prior grass cutting experience, leadership and management skills.

Resort Lifeguards

Great Blue Resorts is now accepting applications for Lifeguards for our Vine Ridge Resort in beautiful Queenston in Niagara on the Lake for the 2019 season.

Our unique 1 acre pool requires a team of enthusiastic, customer friendly professional lifeguards to join our resort team.

We are open 7 days a week, beginning the May long weekend through Labour Day with our pool hours typically 9:00am to 8:00pm. Our lifeguards must be able to work weekends, hold valid CPR C and NLS certifications.

Lifeguard Responsibilities:

  • Prevent and respond to emergencies, while always providing enthusiastic, courteous and superior service to guests
  • Maintain consistent surveillance of our cottage owners and guests on the resort; acts immediately and appropriately to secure safety of guests in the event of emergency
  • Provide emergency care and treatment as required until the arrival of emergency medical services.
  • Other duties as assigned

WHAT DOES THE JOB LOOK LIKE?

You will:

  • Monitor effective Park Model marketing strategies
  • Provide leadership to the day-to-day operations of the sales team, while maintaining focus on the company’s overall strategic goals
  • Hold sales advisors accountable for profitable Park Model sales growth by achieving targeted weekly, monthly and annual goals
  • Provide strategic and tactical direction to the sales advisors by developing and evaluating new initiatives
  • Monitor consistent self generated energy sales and weekly sales funnel activities of sales advisors including: Kijiji, Facebook and other social media channels, Cottages in Canada and other opportunities, Owner contact follow up, On- resort marketing follow-up with vacation guests and Monitoring relationships with corporate generated leads

Sales Team Support

  • Effectively oversee day-to-day sales operations and ensure that performance is on track to achieve profit and growth objectives.
  • Identify gaps in performance and implement needed corrective actions while working with Sales Trainer to improve sales performance and develop effective strategies for both new and seasoned sales team members
  • Coordinate sales training programs with the Sales Trainer that enable team members to achieve their potential and support company sales objectives
  • Enforce Sales Processes
  • Support Script skills practices
  • Critique tours daily
  • Schedule weekly monitoring visits to resorts

Relationship Management/Customer Service

  • Promote propriety of the company with team members, current and potential customers, vendors and the community suppliers.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND/OR EXPERIENCE

  • 10+ years of Park Model sales operations management experience, including substantial experience at the senior sales level
  • Wilson Learning, Smilies Earn the Right Training preferred
  • UK park model sales experience desired
  • Proven track record of running a successful sales operation in a growing market
  • Analytical background with keen business acumen, a strong financial understanding of associated sales costs and desired margins is required and the ability to plan to achieve sales quotas and targets.
  • The ability to lead and develop a team through effective coaching and communication with a focus on driving results and professional standards
  • Proven organizational and problem-solving capabilities with experience multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment
